Door Number 5 reveals the second Disney film on our list, and another Christmas musical.
Although Tim Burton has argued that this film is made for Halloween, it’s perfect for both occasions – encompassing autumn and leading its audience into the winter festivities.
The film follows Jack Skellington, Pumpkin King, and his quest to revamp the tired Halloween parade that takes place every year in his home of Halloween Town. On his journey, he comes across Christmas Town and seems to find everything he didn’t know he was looking for.
Christmas Town embodies the pure essence of the season – all of the expectations and beliefs of what Christmas should be brought together in a picturesque scene. It looks like it’s straight from the front of a postcard (in cartoon form, of course) and is enough to get anyone excited about merriment to come.
