Door Number 10 reveals a Christmas Comedy that shows the underside of Christmas, as well as it’s true meaning.
A story of one-upmanship and jealously, the film shows the struggle between two polar opposite neighbours and their need and determination to have the biggest Christmas light display on their suburban street. Of course, it’s not all that simple and there are plenty of other events offering comedic relief throughout. The two main male characters, played by Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick, eventually pay their price for being selfish and have to find a way to fix their behaviour before it’s too late.
It’s silly and funny and in an underlying way shows what Christmas is all about, poking fun at those that get lost in impressing at Christmas and reminds the audience to ‘lighten up’ and laugh.
