Only 3 sleeps to go… and Door Number 24 opens on a Christmas classic.
This 1994 gem starring Richard Attenborough and Mara Wilson comes from the 1947 original. It tells the story of a shopping centre Santa who claims he is the ‘real’ Santa and is therefore required to prove his claims, helped by a lawyer and a little girl.
With a screenplay written by John Hughes and and direction from Les Mayfield (the same duo that brought us 1997’s Flubber), this film is full of festive cheer and Christmas spirit, with just a dash of 90’s cheese.
It’s family friendly and heartfelt, and is a favourite all year round, but has an extra special prominence at Christmas.
